This was done with Disney in mind, specifically the Disney Princes and Princesses in mind. How would the princesses fare, I wonder, if they were the ones who had to save their true loves? Would they be willing to kill and bleed for their princes? The princes certainly did.
But this was also written for real life, for it's true. You must work to make your dreams come true, and if necessary (or unexpectedly), bleed for them. Not war, though. Not that.
