What is human?
What does it mean to be a human?

Does it mean to possess unique physical attributes?
Such as a fine body, perfect in shape and purpose?

Does it mean to possess incredible mental abilities?
Such as intelligence, rational thinking, and logic?

Does it mean to possess other unique traits?
Such as emotions, creativity, and imagination?

Does it mean to possess certain ideologies?
Such as faiths, dogmas, and a sense of superiority?

Does it mean to have a soul?

In my opinion, it is all these things.

But many times have people attempted to label humans under a collective of numerous singular beliefs.

That includes many ideologies, religions, faiths, national identities, and other such human constructs.
Racism, patriotism, nationalism, these are but a few of the many types of labels that humans have glorified and worn as badges of honor.
Unfortunately, each is only concerned with the superficial marks of humans and acknowledges very little of what really matters within us humans.

Creativity, morals, imagination, intelligence, critical thinking, logic, reason, exploration, faith, hope, spirituality, love, and above all, the soul is what a human being should uphold.

A human being is not just his or her ideals or material possessions.
A human being is more than that.
He is powerful, respectful, and understanding.
She is creative, imaginative, and gentle.

Both apply to all humans, no matter their origin.
Materialistic ideals only get us so far.
We need the superficial as well as the internal to become who we are.

We must look beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.
We must be open within as well as without.
We must be respectful to all our brothers and sisters of the earth.

To do that requires self-cultivation of all the aforementioned traits.

We must be creative.
We must be of sound moral judgment.
We must be imaginative.
We must be intelligent.
We must be critical and rational in our thinking.
We must be logical.
We must be reasonable.
We must be explorers.
We must be faithful.
We must be hopeful.
We must be spiritual.
We must be loving.

We must have a soul.

All of these things, along with many other great attributes, ones that do not preach superiority or supremacy over kin and earth, are what truly makes a human.

And to say that a human is just one thing is not true at all.

For all these things, all these gifts, when combined together, are what make us human.

The blending of many things is what makes a human.

No country, label, religion, ethnicity, or any other word can define what a human is, not even the word "human" itself. Human is what you are, what you believe in, your interests, attributes, friendships, emotions, etc. It's who you are, and you're not made of any one thing at all.
