Sailor Ryza

"Sailor Ryza, Soldier of the Machine, protector of the planet Ryza, Magos of the Adeptus Mechanicus and follower of the Omnissiah, member of the Star Warriors and the Order of the Martian Technocracy sub-cult, the Lady Ryza."

In an adjacent galaxy, there lies the Imperium of Man, a pan-galactic theocratic empire with humanity as its dominant species. It consists of many different worlds and cultures, and it is where the Star Warriors receive a large number of their recruits.
A good portion of these Imperial Senshi come from planets known as Forge Worlds, which are planets devoted entirely to manufacturing and are factories on a global scale. These worlds have access to some of the most advanced technologies and weapons known to the galaxy. It is from here that some of the Star Warriors' finest weaponsmiths, engineers, technicians, shipbuilders, architects, and tech-masters come from, all experts in their fields of study and all Sailor Senshi.

Sailor Ryza is one of the greatest of these Warriors. Born as Melisande Arpros, she was a young girl who showed remarkable prowess and skill in the art of the machine. An ideal candidate for the Adeptus Mechanicus, the galaxy's largest and greatest technological organization, she entered its schools and learned her trade.

She learned the rites of maintenance, the liturgies of engineering, and all she needed to become one of the most promising students of the Mechanicus. But she also had displayed a keen, innovative mind. While useful, it was not so encouraged in the dogma-bound lore and teachers of the Mechanicus. But one man took her under his wing: the ruling Magos of the planet Ryza.
That one planet was known throughout the universe for creating the most advanced plasma technologies. It crafted plasma reactors, cutters, protoplasers, beam emitters, cells, and weapons that were far beyond anything else that existed. Each was extremely advanced and powerful.

Melisande learned well under his tutelage and became an expert in plasma technology. Her skill was such that she rose to the rank of Magos herself in an extremely short time. Now she is one of Ryza's ruling leaders and the most skilled in its advanced knowledge of plasma dynamics and physics.

Despite being a master leader, technician, and engineer she displayed a sense of kindness and love that was uncommon among the technocratic Mechanicus. This drew the attention of the Star Warriors and soon they offered her the chance to become a Sailor Warrior. Melisande accepted and while not a promising student, she rose well enough to become a Sailor Warrior after her training.

Now, in addition to her rank of Magos, she is now the guardian of her world. She is now Sailor Ryza, and a woman of dual loyalties: loyal to the Sailor Warriors..........and to the Mechanicus, and their deity: the Omnissiah. The Machine God.

Weapons and Items

Machine Stave- the Machine Stave is her signature Attack Item and is actually a small one-handed axe. Still, it is an effective slashing weapon and is used by Sailor Ryza in all her attacks, most of which are technologically-based powers. It is also her mark of office since she is also a member of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

Mechanicus Cog- her Transformation Item is the symbol of the Mechanicus itself, a half-machine skull imposed within a black-and-white cog. It is unique in that for every single item of all Imperium-based Star Warriors, only one phrase needs to be said: Imperator Aegis. The Shield of the Emperor. Once that is uttered, her transformation begins and she will begin to smite the Emperor's foes anew.

Plasma weapons- because she is guardian of the planet Ryza, she has access to its advanced weaponry. Ryza makes some of the most advanced plasma weapons in the galaxy, extremely potent and lethal. Because she is half-cyborg, Sailor Ryza possesses the strength needed to carry a large number of plasma weapons on a specially-designed machine harness she wears on the back. The weapons include the following.

A handheld double-barrel plasma pistol
One small plasma gun (upper right)
A miniaturized Plasma Blastgun (lower right)
Plasma cannon (upper left)
Plasma destructor (lower left)

Known attacks

Deus Ex Machina- literally "god from the machine", it is her signature attack. When help is needed and no one is around, Ryza can use the power of her Machine Stave to mentally control and command all machines that around her within a five-mile radius. It doesn't matter what machine it is: construction vehicle, cooking apparatus, handgun, any piece of technology will come straight to her and obey her every command with this attack.

Plasma Storm- through mind-machine interface technology, Ryza can mentally control the many plasma weapons she wields. But with this attack, she can imbue her rage into the very plasma ammunition of the guns themselves, making the plasma weapons far more deadly than conventional ones, for the plasma itself will take on any form she desires to smite her foes.


Well, I'm back to making new Sailor Senshi, or as my variants are called, Sailor Warriors. I did say that I would make Sailor Warriors (warrior-oriented Senshi) of varying types, and that includes 40k-based ones. To my 40k watchers, you may refer to them as Imperial Sailor Senshi. Here is one based from the Forge World of Ryza, hence all the plasma guns she has. Enjoy.
