Corvidae cult member

This is a veteran of the Thousand Sons legion. All of my artworks involving these warriors were inspired from the new Horus Heresy novel, A Thousand Sons. In the novel, it spoke of the Scarab Occult, the elite veterans of the legion, and five cults each specializing in a type of sorcery: Corvidae, Pavoni, Pyrae, Athanaeum, and Raptora. The symbols of all five cults are prominently displayed in the center of the legion symbol, a white, eight-pointed, serpentine star.

Anyway, this warrior is a veteran of the Scarab Occult, the legion elite. Having seen many artworks of these guys, I know that the chief symbol they displayed on their armor was a golden scarab. So I took that and re-fashioned it to be the symbol of these elite fighters: black-colored scarab with sapphire lining and a gold eye. As to armaments, I armed him with the typical Space Marine bolter and his native homeworld weapon: a khopesh (curved sickle-sword used by the Egyptians.). As stated earlier, the cult symbols are shown in the center of the legion symbol. The Corvidae symbol is a black raven's head, given that the cult specializes in precognition and foresight.
